With secret recipes, legendary dishes, and some exclusive NKF2.0 specials, we guarantee you’re in for a treat. Jom kita tengok apa yang padu sangat dengan lineup nasi kandar ni! Introducing the Nasi Kandar Lejens for 2024…

Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah Yong Suan (Nasi G*nja), Ipoh
New entry for 2024 guys! This place needs no introduction! Famously known as “Nasi Ganja” for its ridiculously addictive flavors, Yong Suan is all about the ayam merah. Couple that with their daging rendang and kari ikan bawal, and you’ve got yourself a plate that’ll have you coming back for more… and more… and more!

Yusuf Restaurant, Penang
“Taste the Difference” at Yusuf Relau, where they’ve taken the traditional nasi kandar vibe and given it a fresh, hipster twist. Known for their rendang daging and ayam masak ros, Yusuf’s chutneys and condiments are next-level delicious. With its newly renovated, stylish interior, this spot is as Instagrammable as it is sedap!

Restoran Kudu Bin Abdul, KL
Kudu is a nasi kandar OG along Jalan TAR, KL, and they’ve been serving ‘surr’ since forever! Their limpa masak berempah and ayam masak hitam are the stuff of legends. But if you’re daring, try the hati goreng or fried chicken with fish roe. Pro tip: Order it ‘banjir’ style to get the full experience.

Hameediyah, KL
If there’s a name that screams “Old School Nasi Kandar,” it’s Hameediyah. The pioneers of nasi kandar in Malaysia, their ayam masak ros, ayam kampung bawang, and rendang daging are a must. Not to mention their fried giant sotong. They’re bringing their multi-dining experience from Jalan Bukit Bintang with thick, rich gravies and nasi served in cast iron pots. Dahsyat giler! Don’t forget to check out their Nasi Kandar Museum while you’re at it. Below we have Riyaaz (owner) joking the plate just for you. And nasi kandar comes from the way the dish used to be sold. Riyaaz happily demonstrates this below too. Pada yang tak pernah nampak kayu kandaq la.

LC Restoran (Line Clear), KL
From Penang to KL, LC Nasi Kandar (Line Clear) is where you go for real deal nasi kandar vibes. Famous for its seafood and ‘kari macam Penang,’ this spot is has hidden kari (fried) kepala ikan dish that is to die for. All seafood is delivered fresh to them from Kuala Selangor. Their ayam goreng with kuah campoq, ayam bawang, and kambing chunks will have you lining up for more. They know how to pack the flavor in every bite, just like at their old famous Penang branch. Below we have Raja, the main Joki for LC and Owners Faisal & Zainul posing for the camera. It was these duo who managed to bring back the old taste of Penang into the current LC, Congrats!

Nasi Kandar Pelita Chai Leng Park, Penang
Known as the largest nasi kandar chain in Malaysia, Pelita is a household name. The ayam goreng here is legendary—crispy, juicy, and just the right amount of spice! Simple dishes done right, Pelita shows you don’t need to be fancy to be the best. Fans rave about the consistency and did I mention the fried chicken? Oh, we mentioned it twice now.

Nasi Kandaq Talam, JB
Heading up the Johor nasi kandar scene, Nasi Kandaq Talam is making waves with its special dishes. For NKF2.0, they’re bringing their Kambing Ros, made just for the fest, and their famous sotong masala. All served on metal plates for that authentic feel. Trust us, you’ve gotta makan at Talam to believe it!

Restoran Majeedia, Ipoh
Don’t sleep on Ipoh when it comes to nasi kandar! Majeedia serves their iconic ayam merah in stunning golden metal pots. You’ve got to also try their daging rendang —a combination that’ll make you feel like royalty. Add some bendi and telur masin, and you’re set!

Jamal Mohamed /Nasi Kandar Pokok Ketapang, Penang
A nighttime nasi kandar hotspot, Jamal Mohamad is all about that “bawah pokok” experience in Seberang Prai. Known for their daging hitam, kari perut kambing, and the variety of lauk, this place brings a different vibe once the sun goes down. Recently expanding to Singapore, they’re proving that nasi kandar is a regional favorite!
