Coming from a family with a heavy footprint in the food scene in KL, 3 relatives decided to start one of their own shop with the help of their sister-in-law whom came up with the recipe for the famous Ayam Masak Kicap and Cili Gesek. So simple yet it leaves you haunting for more with every taste of it “cewahhh”
The Ayam Masak Kicap is made daily and fried by batches, so it’s always panas. It’s smothered with the special sauce that’s made from bawang, ginger and some secret spices! Slowly simmered for 2 to 4 hours until pekat, it’s then poured all over the freshly fried chicken! Tengok je dah terliur.
The meal won’t be complete without a generous heap of The Cili Gesek! The way they describe the flavour of this Cili is “pedas berdesing!”, it means slow burn and it lingers for a very long time. So be careful, because they use 3 types of Chilis, Cili Kampung, Cili Thailand and Cili Vietnam and they’re all deep fried with onions and garlic to tambah the bau. After that it is ground by hand using a traditional pestle and mortar.
