The locals tried their best to keep this place to themselves because they don’t want their beloved makan place to be full of tourists. But the word start spreading on how good Haji Abu’s Shell Out is and people start pouring in!
Their decked out Shell Out came with heaps of prawns, lala, mussels, some crabs and the famous crispy and flaky Ikan Siakap goreng!!! Everything is covered in their velvety and spicy paprika based sauce. The sauce was thick and covered every celah of the seafood, each bite you’ll get a different layer of flavours from the sauce! They even added some extra bawang for sweetness which really brings out the flavour of the seafood.
Haji Abu also serves some wicked masakan panas like Ayam Padprik, Sayur Kailan and Daging Masak Merah. All made to order and uses the freshest ingredients that’s bought daily at the pasar by Haji Abu himself.
Other than the Shell Out, the Siakap 3 Rasa is really good! It’s deep fried until perfectly golden brown and you can hear the crunchiness just by running your fork across the skin. Bunyi je dah terliur! It’s served with Haji Abu’s special concoction of 3 Rasa sauce, every flavour of the sauce compliments the fish but doesn’t compete with each other surprisingly!
