We recommend that you come early to Chacha. Lambat means no more briyani for you. By the way, Chacha means Uncle in Pakistani.
” Outta this world Biryani and Naan that’s made with lots of love ”
Uncle Abdul Latif serves one of the fluffies naan and the best almost homecooked briyani’s in PJ. And they are open only during lunchtime. The man himself is behind every naan and tandoori making sure that each meal… comes out perfect.
He learnt his naan skills in Pakistan, and when he migrated in Malaysia about 28 years back, worked in several restaurants across the country where he honed his skills.
The naan dough ball is skillfully rolled, mozarella cheese placed in the middle, dough balled up, rolled again before it goes into his tandoori urn. When its done, just before serving… Uncle Latif rolls some margarine over the hot naan.. melting it in the process. You picturing this right?
The briyani is definitely outta this world. At least, it’s not the normal kind you get here. The recipe has a heavy Pakistani hint yet simple and lightly seasoned. The rice is long grain basmathi. This pairs well with the dhal curry and the mutton curry. Memang best!
