Food lovers, continuing our search for must try buka puasa meals at PLUS R&R’s, we’re venturing further north to explore Sungai Buloh Overhead Bridge (OBR), Dengkil & Rawang. Here are some hidden gems and delectable dishes you won’t want to miss.

Sungai Buloh OBR (Overhead Bridge)

Soup & Porridge (Stall S10-NB): Bubur Ayam Special – Craving a comforting porridge? This bowl of Bubur Ayam Special is perfect. Imagine a steaming bowl of rice porridge topped with tender chicken shreds, a sprinkle of peanuts, and fresh spring onions. Don’t forget the delicious broth poured over the top!

Roti Kaya Junus (Side Stall): Roti Kaya – Sometimes, simple pleasures are the best. This stall surprised us with their delicious roti kaya! Choose from roti bun, kacang, or benggali. We recommend the roti bun – slapped with a generous spread of kaya and a good helping of butter margarine. Perfect for desserts or snack. We had a second helping!

Satay Haji Samuri (End-Lot): Satay – You can’t go wrong with Satay Samuri! We know.. but at least they are consistent in quality & above average. Their satay kuah is legendary! Tip : Get the set meals for value – a steal you won’t regret!

Miraku Cafe (Stall 01-SB): Homecooked Dishes – Looking for a taste of home? Miraku Cafe offers a selection of ayam masak merah, vegetables selections & more. A convenient takeaway stop for the family when you don’t feel like cooking.

Hawa Cafe (Stall 06-SB): East-Meets-West Delights -Craving something different? Hawa Cafe offers a unique fusion menu with options like Nasi Lemak Daging Dendeng and Spaghetti Meatballs. It’s perfect for groups with diverse palates. Love the Dendeng – flavorful, slightly spicy & melt-in-your-mouth delicious!

Mohd Chan Express (CL6): Chinese Halal Takeaway -In a hurry? Mohd Chan Express is your answer for halal Chinese meals. Everything comes conveniently packed in takeaway boxes, perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal. We recommend their Mee Tarik Daging or Nasi Chicken Chop with Salted Egg Sauce.

Dengkil R&R Northbound

Selera Timur (Stall 4): Homecooked Delights – This stall is a haven for home-cooked goodness. Everything is neatly presented and clearly labeled. If you’re feeling adventurous, try their sambal paru or ikan keli berlada – you won’t be disappointed!

Selera Perak (Stall 11): Tempoyak Patin Pahang – Calling all Ikan Patin lovers! This hidden gem serves a unique Tempoyak Patin dish featuring Patin fish all the way from Pahang. The fresh Patin is cooked in a flavorful tempoyak sauce (a bit sweet) and served in a long tray. Once you try this fresh patin version, you might never go back to “normal” Patin again!

Dengkil R&R Southbound

Nasi Lemak Kukus CT (Stall 6): Nasi Lemak & Kari Kambing – Nasi Lemak Kukus CT never disappoints. This time, they’ve upped the ante with their incredible kari kambing. Tender chunks of lamb are cooked in a curry with a hint of gulai, making it a unique and delicious option for your nasi lemak. Don’t forget the sambal, peanut/ikan bilis & telur rebus for the complete experience!

Sizzling King (Stall 8): Sizzling Chicken Mushroom with Noodles – Love a bit of culinary drama? Sizzling King won’t disappoint! Their signature Sizzling Chicken Mushroom with Noodles is a crowd-pleaser. Watch in awe as the cook cracks an egg over the hot plate, creating a satisfying sizzle that mingles with the delicious noodles.

Nasi Ayam Elite (Stall 10): Duck Rice & Wantan Noodles – This R&R’s hidden gem is definitelty Nasi Ayam Elite, serving up delectable Duck Rice and Duck Wantan Noodles. It’s a rare find for halal duck rice in Klang Valley, making it a must-try for halal duck rice enthusiasts!

Rawang R&R Northbound

Hot Kambing (Stall 7): Oven-Baked Chicken/Kambing with BBQ Sauce – Hot Kambing offers a unique East-meets-West fusion dish – oven-baked chicken glazed with their secret BBQ sauce, served with white rice and salads. We recommend opting for the curried soup instead of the clear broth for an extra flavor boost. If you’re a lamb lover, try their “kambing” version – absolutely delicious!

Dhiya Maju (Stall 2): Nasi Kandar – Craving a classic Nasi Kandar fix? Look no further than Dhiya Maju. This stall serves up simple yet satisfying plates of rice topped with a variety of curries, sayur kobis & mamak fried chicken. It’s a perfect choice for those who love flavorful and comforting curried dishes.

Rasa Ayam Kampung (Stall 9): Mee Sup Ayam – Calling all noodle lovers! Rasa Ayam Kampung is a must-visit. Their incredible bowl of bihun sup ayam features flavorful broth and tender chicken that almost tastes like kampung chicken. The chili kicap condiment adds another layer of taste, making this dish a true winner.

Yik Mun (Stall 8): Traditional Pau – What sets Yik Mun apart? They’ve been using the same secret recipe for over a hundred years! Their high-quality flour is treated with a special technique, resulting in incredibly soft and fluffy pau. They’re also generous with their fillings, ensuring a satisfying bite in every mouthful. Our favourites are the classics! Dim Sum anyone? Yup, they have that too.
