Ingredients
1 cup flour
1 onion, chopped
3 dried chillies, crushed
Salt to taste
1/2 Tsp turmeric
Cold water, as needed
Instructions
1. Mix flour, salt and turmeric powder with cold water (as needed) to make a thick and smooth paste.
2. Add in the chopped onions and dried chillies and mix well.
3. Heat oil and spoon dollops of the batter in. Fry for 3 – 5 minutes until golden and crispy.
4. Serve hot!
Notes
Cold water makes the fritters crispy. Add some anchovies or dried prawns to the batter for a more savoury version.
